YouthLaunch

YouthLaunch is a nonprofit agency based in Austin, Texas whose mission is to empower young people to make a positive difference in their communities through active citizenship. YouthLaunch serves a variety of young people through innovative programs and services. As a growing non-profit agency Youth Launch desired to have an agency-level evaluation strategy that would assist them in: examining and reporting how Youth Launch programs contribute to the agency mission; creating a plan for developing and supporting new programs; and building the capacity of staff to assist with and conduct program evaluation.

Over the past three years, Shore has assisted Youth Launch staff by developing and executing evaluations for a number of programs while collaborating with YouthLaunch to design an overall agency-level evaluation strategy that is flexible, makes good use of resources, and provides solid data that address the ability of each program to advance the YouthLaunch mission. Shore has provided targeted training to YouthLaunch staff in evaluation theory, logic model design, evaluation planning, and process evaluation with follow-up coaching to ensure integration of evaluation strategies into program planning and implementation.
